September 7th, 2026
It is 7:42 PM; It is Labor Day; I have become addicted to the use of the semi-colons despite my slight fear of using them incorrectly. Once I become confident in the using "whom," I will become a total SNOOT. I am watching Fast Times at Ridgemont High right now, I think it is my favorite of all those Hughes-adjacent movies (although it should be noted that Amy Heckerling was the director for FTRH, who also directed Clueless and Look Who's Talking and Look Who's Talking Too.). I'm also half-watching Golden Girls with my mom on Hallmark's channel. Today has been a very nice day that I will detail in a little bit.
Monday, nothing of note happened.
Tuesday during my clinicals I disassembled and put together a Rubik's Cube. I have no real intention of getting into the Rubik's puzzle matrix. I spent sometime after work relaxing and spending time with my dog until I went to bed.
On Wednesday, not much happened. After my clinicals, I went to work and I did an online training about screen time. It reminded me of this presentation I had at 4H camp when I was 12 and part of the presentation had the presentator to ask if we familar with all these different websites and I knew all of them and the presentator asked half-jokingly "boy [this is a literal quote], do all you do is play on the computer?" Honestly, I miss when computers were known as a singular object that a family would own only one of rather than an object one just refers to as "a computer," implying multiple owned computers and laptops. Anyway, I remember this year of camp rather fondly - I do remember having the first real awful wave of loneliness and crying once I came home from camp; not from like missing camp or anything like that (although it was probably angsty and annoying, as most of 12-year-old depressions were) but I can help but fear that that wave of lonliness was the first real expression of something that has been with me and my whole life.
On Thursday, I went to work and left when I was done. After work, I began working on some music because Dave was coming over. I hadn't mentioned this but I was dogsitting this week whilst my mom was out in Pittsburgh. I did quite a great deal of work on the song - specifically adding a super distorted guitar and then bass. Dave came over a little after 6:30 PM and we had a great time. Dave added a cool organ type thing and some lite additional guitar. He also added some lite additional guitar to a cover we are doing that I am excited about. Me and Dave also filmed some promo stuff that should be pretty funny. I showed Dave my book collection and he got a big kick out of the Japanese Death Poems and my Miester Eckhart collection. After looking at my book collection, Dave left and I soon fell asleep to Sourcebrew's "Creepypasta Iceberg."
On Friday, I worked until I didn't and then went home. My mom made it home from Pittsburgh and me and her watched a movie - I went to bed around 10PM and fell asleep to Sourcebrew's "Creepypasta Lost Media."
On Saturday, I read a little and practiced guitar and then got Subway for me and my mom. After this I got ready and went to Kyra's house. Once at her house I took a little nap and then me and her and her mom got Chili's (the same one Fear and Loathing took place (the feelings of Fear and Loathing not the actual subject matter of the song)). I got some buffalo wings that definitely came from a beefed up chicken. Me and Kyra left Chili's and went to GoodWill and then me and her went to my mom's house and she practiced driving my car. She did very well and I took some videos that I sent to her family and my family where they later called me as a "good and patient teacher." Kyra did really good at driving and I wasn't worried at all. I also put some cello strings on that two string bass and it sounds decent.
Me and Kyra got some ice cream from Diary Queens and we went home. Me and her spent some time relaxing and enjoying each other's company until we went to bed. We fell asleep to some minecraft youtuber who ended up waking me up and freaking me out. Other than that me and her did sleep well.
I woke up on Sunday and spent some time with Kyra before heading home to get ready for church. Whilst driving home, I listened to KingSpook's narration of "12 Minutes," which is an okay creepypasta - it is one of those overly disturbing creepypastas that people only slightly remember, but I will say that those sorts of stories are often rather tame in lieu of the awful, unbearable splatterpunk novels/stories.
I went to church and it was okay. From there I went home and continued to listen to Sourcebrew's Creepypasta Iceberg; specifically I listened to his narration of Jvk1166z.esp, which is a story I like quite a bit. I woke up to his narration of Ted the Caver, which is another story that is good. Once I woke up I went to band practice and it was fine. We had a decent practice and once home I watched The Butterfly Effect and I went to bed.
Today has been fine. I am quite tired. I woke up this morning and did some coursework and then cleaned my room and did some art. I watched Sixteen Candles on TV; which is a great movie. I then went to my grandma's and we talked about my great great great grandpa and great great great grandma. We had a nice lunch and then went home at about 3:30 PM and I took a small nap at 4PM. After my nap I finished reading "The Suffering Channel" by David Foster Wallace, which is a good story. I need to think about the story some more, but I think it would be more appriorate for next week with the story's ties towards 9/11 - which I will hopefully do justice of writing some of note towards the subject and the historical significance of the 25th anniversary. I also read a great deal of The Upanishads; I need to start back reading the Bible but who knows. I am fairly tired; Fast Times at Ridgemont was a great movie and the Golden Girls is still playing. Goodbye.
